COWARD postcards to urge gun-safety measures

Sick of your feckless elected representatives refusing to do anything about the proliferation of weapons of war in our streets and in our schools as they pocket donations from the NRA? Tired of living in the wild west when you’re just trying to live your life and drop your kids off at school? Feel like gouging your eyes out every time you hear Ted Cruz talk about how buildings should only have one door but that teachers should carry machine guns or whatever the fuck?

Maybe it’s time to send some postcards that communicate how TIRED YOU ARE of this SAME STUPID CONVERSATION.

Encourage your gunsick legislator to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DEAD KIDS.

It’s the guns! 

You say you’re pro-life. Someone who valued life would look at DEAD CHILDREN and work hard to find solutions to keep children from being blown apart in schools instead of saying “there’s nothing we can do.”  

You say you back the blue but the blue has asked lawmakers to step up and pass
common-sense gun legislation to help them track weapons and to keep them from
being outgunned on the streets.

Weapons of war don’t belong on our streets and responsible gun owners and
enthusiasts who cannot acknowledge that fact are COWARDS. 

WE SEE YOU AND HISTORY WILL TOO. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DEAD CHILDREN BY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE GUNS.

I can’t believe I’m even having to write you about this, but here we go.

Please do something about the dead children.

Firearms are the leading cause of DEAD CHILDREN in the United States. Not drag queens, not books, not critical race theory, not puberty blockers, not even TikTok.

It’s the guns! 

There is data out there showing this. You can look it up! (In fact, the government
should encourage more research on gun violence as a health epidemic instead
of restricting gun violence research because you’re afraid of the NRA!) 

“We need more guns to make us safer.” No! We have more guns than ever and more mass shootings than ever. These things are related!

“Every school needs armed guards and high-level security.” No! There are more
armed officers and more sophisticated security at schools than ever before and
there are more school shootings than ever before. We don’t have to live in war zones! 

Don’t worry — we don’t want to take away all your guns! But we do want
common-sense gun legislation that will make it MUCH HARDER TO
PROCURE WEAPONS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO KILL HUMAN BEINGS.

Weapons of war don’t belong on our streets and responsible gun owners and
enthusiasts who cannot acknowledge that fact are COWARDS.
